Welcome to the Starbase 718!

“If you can’t fly, then run. If you can’t run, then walk. If you can’t walk, then crawl. But whatever you do, you have to keep moving forward” -Martin Luther King Jr-

Positioned in the Delta Sector, Starbase 718 acts as a central point for most of the traffic out of the Romulan Star Empire, or former Empire. Since the Hobus disaster in 2387 there has been much upheaval with territories shifting, new powers emerging and refugee’s attempting to escape and start a new life.

Ten years later in 2397, the new Empire, or Free State as they are now calling themselves aim to shed the ways of their past and start afresh. To show others they are not the secretive race they once were, whereas the Tal Shiar are trying to refill their ranks at any costs and present a strong unwavering front as they have always done.

The Typhon Pact has also heavily impacted the area with the Romulans, the Breen, the Tholians, Gorn and the Tzenkethi banding together against the Federation. This pact is becoming unstable and with that comes instability within the whole region.

Some aggression from the Klingon Empire as they use this to gain new worlds and systems has been noted and Starfleet wishes to present a strong presence to deter any action into Federations space but as always holds the door open for incoming ships seeking ‘assistance’ or ‘resupply’. The Khitomer Accords in limbo at present make the situation tenable at best.

Starbase 718 is within a hotbed of action where the slightest ripple can cause lasting effects within future of the Romulan race, and their relationship with the Klingon’s grow tenser with every passing moment.

In a massive crew shake up Starfleet has selected new individuals to take the lead on this. Hoping that they will provide the glue that holds the area together as all walks of life enter the station, bringing their woes with them.

We are looking for writer who write for the love of creating stories that others love to read. We focus on character development and relationship building over missions, although we will have ones to follow.

Aranis had always thought his office on the Cassiopeia was big, too big for how much he actually used it. However, this took the cake... if there was any. His old office as on his Galaxy class, nice desk and chair and opposite numbers, a nice couch and sometimes the…

**Operations Conference Room**

Aranis had been on the Cassiopeia now for only 2 years, but it had been quick. Almost like the years themselves we a blip on the cosmic scale of life. They were in fact 2 more on to his 400+ year lifespan, one that would go on still for many…
